We can probably all agree that TSA dogs are the best part of the airport experience, which has only been further complicated by the nightmare of COVID-19.
Now the Transportation Security Agency will be holding its annual contest to judge which of its airport detection dogs, which are trained to sniff out bombs and explosives, is also this year’s cutest canine employee.
Who will take on the winner of Round 1 voting? Will it be the gallant German Shepherd Lexa-Alexey from @DFWAirport? Or maybe it will be the lovable Labrador Retriever Ron from @IFlyOAKland. Vote below! pic.twitter.com/CHreBX3j5L

The results will be based on input from fellow air travelers, who are being invited to cast their votes on the agency’s social media feeds. The winner will be announced on August 26, 2020 – aka National Dog Day.
Of course, this all has the potential to get a bit messy. The TSA employs roughly 1,000 dog detection teams across the country and — based on what we know about dogs — we bet all of them are pretty darn cute. How could you possibly pick just one?

Fortunately, the agency has already whittled down the deep pool of candidates to four semi-finalists who will be vying for this year’s title. Make sure to cast your vote before virtual polls close this Friday, August 21. May the best dog win!
